What started as a way to connect our Canadian salsa students with the birthplace of salsa caleña in Cali, Colombia, has now grown into an immersive journey celebrating Latin dance, music, and tradition. Our mission is to take travellers beyond the tourist experience and into the heart of local culture, where they can truly feel the rhythm, taste the flavours, and live the energy of each destination.
Vive La Salsa Tours is deeply rooted in the passion and legacy of Salsa & Sabor, a Totonto-based Colombian dance academy dedicated to preserving and sharing the magic of salsa caleña.
Our vision was born from a desire to bring people to the heart of Cali—to experience firsthand the energy of its dance halls, the soul-stirring sounds of live salsa bands, and the warmth of its people. What began as a way for students to immerse themselves in the birthplace of salsa evolved into something much greater—a movement to connect travellers with the cultural heartbeat of Colombia. Through Vive La Salsa Tours, we offer a gateway to this world, blending dance with live music, food, nature, and history.

Our Mission
At Vive La Salsa Tours, our mission is to create transformative travel experiences that connect people to the heart of Latin culture through dance, music, and community. We are more than a travel company. We are cultural ambassadors who believe that every journey should be a bridge between travellers and the communities they visit.
Rather than offer retreats, we design our experiences to immerse participants in the traditions and rhythms of culture. From private salsa classes with world champion instructors to exploring vibrant heritage festivals and local celebrations, we bring travellers into authentic cultural spaces that are rarely seen by outsiders.
Our commitment extends beyond the traveller. We prioritize partnerships with locally owned hotels, restaurants, dance schools, tour operators, and cultural organizations. This ensures that the majority of every travel dollar directly supports small businesses, artists, and entrepreneurs.
